jennifercastle_headshot - Jennifer Castle-1Jennifer Castle grew up writing stories in her head on long school bus rides and was blaire-1-coverconstantly looking for ways to turn her ideas into reality. Eventually, one of her “big ideas” became a published novel, and since then she has written over 10 books for kids and teens, including the Butterfly Wishes series, Together at Midnight, and Famous Friends. She is also the author of the Blaire series of American Girl books, set in the Hudson Valley. Jennifer lives among the mountains, woods, and bountiful farms of the Hudson Valley with her husband, two daughters, and three cats, who also work part-time as her writing assistants. She adores all creatures (especially dogs) and is the author of many animal books. Nancy shares her Upstate NY home with big dogs Bosco Bear and Rosy Wagger, plus house rabbits and a chinchilla (all rescued), and also volunteers with several animal organizations. His books RIVER OF DREAMS, The Story of The Hudson River, which was chosen as New York’s State Book of the Year, and his latest book, PICTURING AMERICA – Thomas Cole and the Birth of American Art, are both being used in school curricula throughout the Hudson Valley. gford - Gilbert ford Gilbert Ford lives and works in Brooklyn, NY where he has illustrated many New York Times bestselling middle grade novels and also award-winning picture books. In 2015 he 51r9jNhw62L._SX387_BO1,204,203,200_received his MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. He is the author/ illustrator of the non-fiction picture books The Marvelous Thing That Came From A Spring and How The Cookie Crumbled, both published by Atheneum. He is also the author/illustrator of his debut middle grade novel, Kindred Spirits, to be published by Macmillan/Ottaviano in 2021. Marian Grudko at the Book Cove - marian grudko Marian Grudko is a storyteller and composer. Her Lucinda Snowdropperformance of “A Beatrix Potter Afternoon” at the Actor’s Institute in New York City, featuring ‘The Tale of Jemima Puddle-duck” with original music, was an Editor’s Pick in TimeOut NY magazine. Picture Raven Howell is author and poet of several children’s books including the recently released, My Community, Shimmer/Songs of Night, and A Star Full of Sky which won several awards including Best in Children’s Literature.
