https://www.instagram.com/p/CpWOU9crOTS/ https://www.instagram.com/p/CcffwLaL7-b/ Sadly, Thich Nhat Hanh, the author of the wonderful "How To" books we celebrated at last year's Millbrook Literary Festival, has passed away. Thank you to @merrittbookstore for introducing us to his philosophy. More photos from today's events. Thank you to everyone who participated at @merrittbookstore and @millbrooklibrary ! Thank you to @lclineransome for her wonderful reading, and Alex from @merrittbookstore for manning the book sale table at @millbrooklibrary this afternoon! More children's events to follow. Awesome discussion of @thichnhathanhsangha 's How To Eat happening at @millbrooklibrary now! Thanks to @tarajiamorrell @gabemcmackin @stonewoodny for facilitating. We ❤ our local newspapers! Thank you to The Millerton News for writing about us. One thing we want to correct though--our festival was started in 2008 by Scott Meyer, not years later as a memorial to him. We miss him every day. Have you seen this week's Southern/Northern Dutchess News Group edition? It's not too late to get a copy of our community read books (they're really short!) or to make plans to attend our children's events Saturday. @millbrooklibrary @merrittbookstore @profbrandowfaller @tarajiamorrell @millbrook.photographer @millbrooknewyork @dutchesslandconservancy @earthinstitute @gabemcmackin @stonewoodny @thichnhathanhsangha @catgreenstreet @gracechurchmillbrook @lclineransome YOU STILL HAVE TIME TO GET OUR COMMUNITY READ AND join us on Saturday for one of the talks around the lovely small books HOW TO SEE, EAT, FIGHT, and WALK. All are $2 each at @merrittbookstore and @millbrooklibrary, and you can read one by Saturday! Please pick one up and join one of the community conversations throughout the village on Saturday, September 18th! More details can be found at www.millbrookliteraryfestival.org. We have great children's events all day too!
